Activities
Camp Maxwelton has a full range of activities in which each camper participates. Activities are carefully supervised, basic skills are taught, and fundamentals are stressed. Good sportsmanship in all camp life is emphasized.
Activities include: horseback riding, archery, riflery, team sports, canoeing, crafts, and skeet shooting.
Group activities include: Hiking, campfires, trip days, movie night, dance, church, team games, and devotions.
Friendships
What would camp be without friends. At Camp Maxwelton, boys develop friendships with boys from all over the country. Many of the boys keep in touch with one another long after camp ends and until it begins again the next summer.
Home away from home
Campers live together in mixed groups in cabins. Campers' ages range in a single cabin from 8 to 15 years old with two counselors in charge. Our philosophy is to allow the boys to be exposed to all age groups in order to encourage leadership and provide more diverse interaction just as one may experience in real life.
